Board Oversight
Newcon Builders’s Board of Directors comprises four members with ultimate oversight of the company’s strategic direction and sustainability agenda. As a central body of governance, the Board is responsible for ensuring that ESG principles are embedded into corporate decision-making and risk management processes.
Key Board responsibilities include:
Integrating ESG considerations into long-term business planning and investment decisions
Reviewing material sustainability risks and opportunities Overseeing the implementation and progress of the BUILD Green Framework
Ensuring compliance with evolving ESG regulations and disclosure standards, including SGX 711A/B, GRI Standards, and anticipated ISSB alignment
To ensure Board-level directives translate into site-level execution, ESG responsibilities are cascaded across Newcon Builders’s operational structure – from functional departments to project teams. This includes Environmental Control Officers (ECOs), Safety Officers, Site Administrators, and BIMpersonnel – each playing a role in executing ESG measures on the ground. This integrated structure ensures accountability, traceability, and consistency in ESG performance throughout the construction value chain.
